Samuel Albert Etre “Babe” died December 29th, 2012 after a gallant struggle. He was 87. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Marc Antonio and Carmella “nee Gallo.” Babe was the proprietor of ELQ industries, which he founded in 1963. He was a Marine during WWII who saw action in the Pacific Theater. Babe was a Boy Scout leader, as well as a member of the Elks Club and the Mamaroneck-Harrison Rotary. Beloved husband of Gloria “nee Battipaglia”, devoted father of Marc “wife Angela”, Robert “wife Sue”, Rick “wife Lisa”, Debbie Collins “husband Paul”, cherished grandfather of Kristin and Frank Acocella, Marc Etre Jr., Alicia and Jerome Valente, Samuel Etre “fiancé Andrea”, Robert Etre and Thomas Collins and great-grandfather of John Francis Valente.
