Alice Cornelia Leber
Feb.26, 1930 – March13, 2013 of New Rochelle, NY and Tampa, FL. Alice rose to
her God in Heaven with a smile- the way she lived. Daughter of the late John J.
and Anne Cornelia and her “Irish Grandmother,” the late Josephine Cornelia with
whom she held a special bond. Alice was an exceptional wife and mother,
grandmother and dear friend. Born in Yonkers, NY, attended Immaculate
Conception (St. Mary’s) and Sacred Heart Monastery. She worked for the NYS
Labor Relation Board, raised her children and began a career in Real Estate in
Larchmont, NY. A very popular Realtor, she became close to both clients and
customers who remained her friends for 40 years.
Alice and Anthony C. Leber were married at St. Mary’s Church on April 24th,
1954. He survives and will always miss her.
They were blessed with four gifts from Heaven- Christopher Gerard (Tammy) of
Pinehurst, North Carolina, dear Carl Anthony (dear Treva) of Dallas, TX, Dr.
Kathleen Leber Perron (Dr. Vincent Perron, who was a son to her always) of
Tampa, FL and dear Patrick John (Sandra) of New Rochelle, NY. Her beloved
grandchildren were the delight of her life- Kristen, Brian and Hannah of Texas,
Colette of North Carolina and her angel Allison Leber of New Rochelle,
NY/Hawthorne, NJ, and a wonderful niece, Tara O’Gorman of Somers, NY, daughter
of her late sister Josephine O’Gorman.
Her talents were numerous but she was known for her humor and her ability to
make everyone around her smile. But most of all, her faith sustained her. She
possessed a true faith and love of “Our Lady of Lourdes” and Divine Mercy. And
of course, she was a devoted fan of her beloved NY Yankees.
Her dear “Irish Cousins” were very special to her. In Tampa, Dr. Mark Smith,
Jennifer S., Ginny K., Dot C, Adajean S., Dottie R.; In Larchmont, Diane S.,
Rosemarie B., June T., Teresa K., Vivienne B. and her high school friends,
Eileen H. of Pearl River, NY, Beverly K. of Yonkers, NY and Grace M. of PA and
Msg. Edward O’Donnell of Rye, NY. Alice will pray for you always.
