Esther Gritz Neuringer – devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt,friend, beloved by all who knew her, died on March 18 at her home in Mamaroneck, NY. She was 65.Born in Wash, DC to immigrant parents Harry and Annie Gritz. She was educated at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she met her husband, Clark. They settled in Mamaroneck in 1974 with first son, Shane, and later raised son Keir and twin daughters Megan and Sybil there. A lifelong creative spirit with a sharp business acumen, she demonstrated singular talent as a gardener, jewelry and accessories designer, floral arranger, epicure, collector, and investor, sharing her expertise with her
children, friends, and community. A music aficionado, she supported the New York music scene. Her other passion was owning and caring for dogs, which she did all her life. Funeral is Wed March 20 12PM, Zion Memorial Chapel, 785 E Boston Post Rd,Mamaroneck. Donations in her honor to: Pathways to Care (a program of WJCS) and New Rochelle Humane Society. She is survived by her children Shane, Keir, Megan, grandson Graydon, husband Clark. She is predeceased by her daughter, Sybil.
