Evelyn Drosnin, 97, of Larchmont passed away peacefully Tuesday at Montifiore Medical Center in New Rochelle surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born in 1916 in New Jersey. She was a generous and intelligent person, loved and admired by all who knew her, and enjoyed excellent health well into her tenth decade. She is survived by her children Barbara Drosnin and Michael Drosnin, her granddaughter Wende Brown and husband Kevin Brown, her granddaughter Julie Gozan and partner Thomas Keck, and her great-grandchildren Amina Brown and Sasha and Ruby Gozan-Keck, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Edward Drosnin, her sister Freda Heyman and her brother David Freed. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6 at 11 am at Zion Memorial Chapel of Westchester. Guests will be received following the service at 1 Washington Square, apt. 6C, Larchmont, NY 10538 on Friday from 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
