Antonio Tripicchio, a longtime resident of Mamaroneck, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 10, 2014. He was 92 years old. Born in Malvito, Cosenza, Italy on April 5, 1922 to Raffaelina (Borrello) and Giuseppe Tripicchio. He was a World War II veteran and Prisoner of War. Antonio arrived in the US on August of 1950 and settled in Mamaroneck, establishing a Landscape Contracting Business in 1953. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus and the Alessandro Manzoni Lodge for many years. Antonio was an avid outdoorsman, He loved hunting, fishing, tending his gardens and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Sara (Gualano) and his children, Lena Smolou of Hopewell Junction, Jeannette Mirabile (Saverio) of Larchmont, Anthony of White Plains and Johnny of Harrison. Survived also by his grandchildren; Erica, Kristen, Matthew, Anthony Jr, Lisa, John, Richie, Troy & Darren and 4 great-grandchildren.
