Joseph DiPalermo of Carmel passed away suddenly on March 14, 2013 at age 51. Joseph was born in Corleone, Sicily to Leo Luca and Vincenza DiPalermo. He is survived by his loving mother Vincenza, his cherished siblings, John (Grace) DiPalermo, Mario DiPalermo and Celeste (Anthony) DeRosa. He also leaves behind his adoring nieces and nephews, Gabriella, Jasim, Zachary, Anthony and Steven. He was predeceased by his father Leo Luca in 1992. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial wiil be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30am at Church of the Ressurection in Rye. Loved by many, respected by all. He also leaves his partner and best friend of many years Doris Juster. Anyone whose life he touched in his long lifetime can never forget the impact that he had on them. John C. Duffy, of Rye Brook, passed away March 16, 2013 at age 95. Born September 26, 1917 to Patrick & Sarah Duffy, he served in the 79th Infantry during WWII. John went on to work for the MTA as a mechanic for many years. He is the beloved husband of Alice (Koehler) Duffy of 60 years. In addition he is survived by his sons, Dr. Christopher Duffy (Pam) and Gerard Duffy, daughter Eileen Nieto and four grandchildren; John C. Duffy, Kelley Anne Duffy, Daniel and Brian Nieto. He is predeceased by three siblings, Evelyn Griffin and Robert & Thomas Duffy. To all that knew him, his kindness and patience will always be remembered. Esther Gritz Neuringer – devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt,friend, beloved by all who knew her, died on March 18 at her home in Mamaroneck, NY. She was 65.Born in Wash, DC to immigrant parents Harry and Annie Gritz. She was educated at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she met her husband, Clark. They settled in Mamaroneck in 1974 with first son, Shane, and later raised son Keir and twin daughters Megan and Sybil there. A lifelong creative spirit with a sharp business acumen, she demonstrated singular talent as a gardener, jewelry and accessories designer, floral arranger, epicure, collector, and investor, sharing her expertise with her
children, friends, and community. A music aficionado, she supported the New York music scene. Her other passion was owning and caring for dogs, which she did all her life. John is remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed antique cars, wood working, oldies music and gardening. Beloved husband of Michele Varamo and cherished father of John Rocco Varamo Jr and Ashley Varamo. Charles Raymond May of Mamaroneck sadly passed away on March 26, 2013 at age 81, surrounded by his family. Charles was born on February 27, 1932 to George and Florence (nee Little) May. He worked as a General Manager for Jomar Plastics in Port Chester for over 30 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He also enjoyed being a member of the Mamaroneck Senior Center. Charles was married for 54 years to the love of his life and soul mate Antoinette May (nee Panaro) who predeceased him in 2009. He is survived by his cherished children Stephen May (wife Marguerite), Robert May (wife Julianne), Janice Savage (husband Michael), John May (wife Kristine) and Denise Barrese (husband Joseph). Devoted grandchildren Nicole, Stephanie, Christopher, Dylan, Brian, Charlie, Michael, Jack, Taylor, Amanda, Dawson and Colton. He is also survived by his loving sister Ruth Collins. He was predeceased by his cherished brother Donald May. Charles was a caring, warm and kind hearted man who had a great love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all. In his early adult life he spent a lot of time with his cousins, boating and traveling. When he met Barabara he had a boat and they enjoyed many great trips with friends. Later his passion became golf and they lived in golf communities for 15+ years. He very much enjoyed golfing and hanging out with his buddies after. Francis was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Agnes Lynch. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Lynch, his loving family and many friends.

Anne A.Vasta (nee DeBernardo) a long time resident of New Rochelle passed away on April 1, 2013 at age 95. Anne was born in NYC on December 27, 1917. Anne was married to her late husband John Vasta for 58 years. She worked as a Traffic Supervisor for New York Telephone Co for over 30 years. She was an active member and past president of the NY Telephone Pioneers. During her retirement she spent countless hours volunteering at New Rochelle Hospital and caring for her beloved husband. She is survived by her cherished children John (Eileen) and Joseph (Susan), her three loving grandchildren, Susan, John Thomas and Simon and her 5 adoring great grandchildren. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother,sister and a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. In her later years she was lovingly cared for by her devoted aide, Chrissy. Anne touched the lives of so many people and will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John and her cherished siblings Vincenza, Margaret, Ernest, Arthur and Carlo. Valeria T. Kaufman, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and 60 year resident of Larchmont, NY died March 28 at age 91. Born in Hazelton, PA on February 26, 1922 to Mary (nee Marsicano) and Michael DeCusatis, Valeria attended Temple University and was a graduate of the Mt. Sinai School of Nursing. She worked side by side with her one true love, the late Dr. Edwin H. Kaufman, MD to raise a family and build a private medical practice in Mamaroneck, NY. She is survived by her cherished children, Jonathan Kaufman and his wife Belinda of Fairfield, CT, Carolyn Kaufman of Brewster, NY and Andrea Aronson and her husband Stephen of Westfield, NJ. She was the loving grandmother of Daniel and Andrew Kaufman and Michael, Alexandra and Julianne Aronson and dear sister of Michael DeCusatis and his wife Marie of West Reading, PA. John F. Keaveny of Harrison passed away on April 10, 2013 at age 65. He was born in NYC to the late John & Eleanor Keaveny. John worked for many years as a Systems Administrator for Citi Group in Stamford, CT. He is remembered as a man of strong faith and was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great in Harrison for more than 20 years where he played Bass Guitar and sang in the Folk Group. John had a passion for photography and computers of which he is described as being ahead of his time. John was the beloved husband of 42 years as well as the quiet strength of Susan (Saviano). In addition to his wife he is survived by his loving children, Eric (Lisa) and Keith Keaveny. He considered his wife’s sister and brothers as his own.
